Welcome

Welcome to the June 2021 Hook & Odiham RFC monthly newsletter. Here we hope to inform you about recent club news, any upcoming events and what the club has been up to. To find out what we are up to on a weekly basis, why not follow us on Facebook and Instagram @hookandodihamrfc

Committee Update

The committee have been busy continuing their efforts on the upcoming Hook & Odiham RFC clubhouse. We have been liaising with the council architects and have acquired draft plans for the layout. The council have also taken possession of the keys to the pitches. We will keep you updated through future newsletters.

We have also been gearing up for our 2021 Annual General Meeting and urge all paying members to come along on Wednesday 14th July at The Odiham & Greywell Cricket Club. The meeting will start at 18:00pm.

A group of club players and staff took part in a DIY SOS style charity day in association with the Wooden Spoon ‘The Children's Charity of Rugby’ (https://woodenspoon.org.uk). This day saw our players/staff as well as other local rugby clubs and volunteers put to work, in a test of their DIY skills to build a ‘Sensory Garden’ for The Sheiling School & College. Thank you to Rob Cruikshanks, Sy Roberts, Calum Johnson and Stu Oakley for their participation.

Coaching Couch

The Stags are coming to the end of the 2020/21 season as they wind down training. July will be used to break away, enjoy the summer and build for what should be a more familiar season later in the year.

The new season will see a huge drive, in search for more players. With a new Clubhouse on the way and new pitches, the Stags will be looking to match these exciting developments on the pitch as well as off it.
